Kintsugi Vase ~ 平和 (Heiwa) collection. Japanese Pottery ~ Mended with Pure 23 Karat Gold Leaf.

"Fōsu O Sosogu." These words in Japanese mean "Pouring Forth." I named this piece Fōsu O Sosogu because the small pitcher made in the tradition of Kintsugi reminds me the beauty and wholeness can pour forth no matter how broken

I was privileged to mend this lovely plate these beautiful ladies received from their grandmother. She brought it from Europe in the 20s! It had fallen and broken into a number of pieces but they wanted this treasure restored. I was able to mend the seams with 23k gold making it as beautiful as it was before it was broken! This video is one sister gifting the other sister with their restored Kintsugi heirloom. It was a joy for me to share this moment with them. Thank you Wendy! ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
