I had the pleasure of working with a lovely couple to get a laundry list of repairs done to this historic house in Brevard before they moved in. Among other things were new handrails along the outdoor stairs and carport, hanging space in their closet, lock changes, and getting some windows opened with screens made and installed. The windows were sealed with about 3coats of paint inside and out. Some of which were stuck open or cracked with a little painted spray foam here and there. Now there's no unwanted drafts, window weights are reattached, and there's a clear view through that wavy glass. I was happy to get a little life rejuvenated into this old home.

On Saturday August 5th a little after 8pm I was driving home from working in Connestee. As I was coming down 276, just before Island Ford Rd, a vehicle that was taking the turn too fast crossed the median and came into my lane. As I swerved to avoid a head on collision my passenger side tire went off the shoulder and pulled my truck into the ditch where I impacted a boulder that turned me perpendicular to the road. I'm thankful that there were no passengers in my truck as all of my tools from the back seat and the bed of the truck flew forward. And I'm quite certain that this accident would've been worse if there was a vehicle following behind me. That being said I was lucky to walk away from this with just a concussion.

I just had my 4year anniversary for starting my business a week ago and have taken a lot of pride in being able to do this on my own. But as of right now I am without a vehicle and some of my most used and more expensive tools were destroyed in the crash. Hopefully I can get this sorted out sooner instead of later. But I've never been in a wreck like this and the State Trooper's perspective is that I took the turn too fast at 50mph. I would think that if that was true my airbag would've deployed. There was no investigation of the scene so I went back yesterday and took some pictures and found tire marks where the other driver crossed the median.

If you or anyone you know of can help me in this situation I would very much appreciate it. Thank you for at least taking the time to read my plea!

One of the reasons I started my own business was because I often felt my value to the people I worked for went unappreciated. I'm appreciative to all my clients who are understanding to the fact that I'm not a one trick pony but it's a one horse show and at times jobs take longer than expected and put me behind schedule. Thank you Charlotte for the heart felt and kind words. At times feeling appreciated is worth more than any hourly wage.
