Hello friends! It’s been a minute since I posted last as I was on tour doing sound for my friends . After 12 years of my intuition being like “hey buddy, let’s move to cali” I’m finally answering that call! Last week I packed up the van and set my sails out west. Unfortunately, that meant saying goodbye to the studio I built and put so much love and hard work into. Since I was 16
that studio was all I ever wanted, and I made it happen! Even though I didn’t want to give it up and continue to make records with my friends in there I feel as though I’d later look back on my life asking myself “what if I didn’t listen to my gut?”. That’s no way to live. Though it’s sad to leave the studio and Philadephia area I know it will be for my own growth. I’m really going to miss my friends and family, and everyone who came to share their musical gifts and fun times with me, but it’s time to explore what the next chapter in my life holds. I have a good feeling about it. I will be in San Diego for the month of November and then in LA in December. I am in talks with a studio in LA I’ll be tracking and mixing out of come January, so once I am settled I’ll be available to help anyone with those needs :) For those of you who are out here or find your way out here please hit me up. one of Sigma Sound Studios prized engineers came down to the studio today to teach me about the OG Philly Sound. Together we mixed a song he recorded by called Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now (!!!!!) as well as For Love of the Money by . It was SUCH A BLAST!! I’m really lucky to have someone like him share their knowledge with me. I learned so much and am forever thankful, Dirk! Thanks man
