Suburban and urban professionals, often homeowners, value tranquility and natural beauty in their living spaces. This piece was inspired by the wisps and long flowing branches of the willow tree. When I was a kid, I used to grab hold and swing on those branches. This piece is about growth. The woman is the tree trunk and all her leaves are moments, activities, tasks in her life. At the very tips of the leaves just touching the water are some embroidered embellishments. Like when our toes dangle into a cool lake. The background is euphoric - a gorgeous, serene environment. This piece encourages you to
‘Grow with it’ Grow through all that you encounter in your life. Remain mindful that something new is around the corner, and allow the painting to draw you in to the calm, serene space. If you seek calm and restorative, peek at my work - Katcramer.com. Or DM for a conversation about how we can get this piece into your home. This piece is currently on view at the Penfield Town Hall and available October 22nd.
