Earlier this afternoon, PSO hornist and librarian Steve Landgren gathered community members to join in Taps Across America. This annual event calls on musicians of all skills and ages to honor the brave United States military personnel who have died while serving their country by sounding the twenty four note bugle call at 3:00 PM local time on Memorial Day, bringing together Americans across the country by honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Celebrate the start of the summer season AND the leadup to the 250th anniversary of the United States with this year’s Picnic Pops concert! Join the Penfield Symphony Orchestra at 6:30 PM on June 23rd at the Penfield Amphitheater at Veterans Memorial Park where we’ll reprise some of our most recently performed patriotic repertoire and bring a few new tunes for you to enjoy.

This concert is FREE - just bring your favorite lawn chair and a picnic basket full of your favorite treats!
