The Forest Reclaims Its Own | 36” x 36” | Acrylic on Canvas

Bad Branch Falls… once the site of an active stone quarry with sharp, man-made ledges is the perfect example of how nature heals. In this place, time and water have gently worked their magic. Over decades, the cascade has softened the jagged edges, draping ancient quarry stone in lush moss and tumbling white water.

Whether anchored above an entryway bench flooded with natural light or creating a serene, sanctuary feel over a deep soaking tub, this 36” x 36” canvas was created to bring a sense of peaceful discovery into your home.

Where would you hang a piece like this?

Watch how The Forest Reclaims Its Own was created step-by-step. Painting this 36” x 36” piece was all about capturing how time and water transform rugged quarry stone into a peaceful sanctuary.

Tucked away in Rabun County, Georgia, Long Creek Falls is a much-loved destination for good reason. The dense green canopy gives the falls the feeling of a peaceful retreat, while the large boulders along the water offer the perfect place to pause, rest, and take in the view.

“A Place to Pause” is the 15th painting in my Appalachian Waterfalls series (30” x 40”, acrylic on canvas). I wanted to capture the energy of the cascading water and the quiet, restorative peace of sitting beneath the trees.

Where is your favorite spot to pause and recharge in nature?

Sunlight on Angel Falls is the number 13 in my Appalachian waterfalls series. This painting was inspired by the graceful cascades of Angel Falls in Rabun County, GA.

I loved how the sunlight danced across the tiered stones, making the spray of the falls sparkle as it spilled into the quiet water below. I hope this piece brings the gentle rhythm of the cascading waters and the bright, welcoming energy of the sun into your day.

Acrylic on canvas. Available for purchase. See the link to my website in my profile

✨ Collector Spotlight & A Special Delivery ✨
Yesterday was such a special day! I had the absolute joy of delivering a newly commissioned waterfall painting—inspired by the beautiful Opossum Creek Falls—to some wonderful, longtime collectors.
This was my first time visiting their magnificent lakeside home, and I cannot describe the thrill of seeing my paintings hung throughout their beautiful space. To walk through a home and see pieces of your heart and hard work living on their walls is the ultimate honor for an artist.
Swipe through to see a few installation shots of my work in its happily-ever-after homes, plus a photo of Beverly and me holding the newest addition to their collection.
I am incredibly grateful for their continued support, trust, and shared love for my work.
Thank you, Beverly and Jim for letting my art be a part of your beautiful home! 🌊✨

There is something incredibly special about creating a piece of art specifically for a long-time collector. ✨

My Appalachian Waterfall series has introduced me to so many breathtaking hidden corners of the mountains, and it turns out that Opossum Creek Falls is a favorite for many of us! After a recent painting of these falls found its home, a dear collector commissioned me to bring this beautiful location to life once again—this time with its own unique energy, shifting light, and movement.

Capturing the energy of the rushing water and the brilliant scatter of autumn leaves for this custom piece was pure joy. I am so deeply grateful to everyone who follows, collects, and supports this creative journey. 🍂🌊
