PENDLETON, Ore. – The Happy Canyon Board of Directors selected its 2026 leadership during the organization’s annual stockholders meeting on January 13, 2026, naming longtime volunteer Casey Hunt of Pendleton as President and welcoming new leadership as Happy Canyon prepares to celebrate 110 years of history.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the trust placed in me and excited to help guide Happy Canyon into its 110th year,” Hunt said. “This show has shaped generations of families — including my own —, and I’m proud to work alongside a passionate team of volunteers who are committed to honoring our traditions while delivering an unforgettable experience each night in the Happy Canyon Arena.”
Hunt is beginning his ninth year on the Happy Canyon Board and brings decades of hands-on involvement with the show. A financial advisor with Edward Jones in Pendleton, Hunt has previously served in Publicity, Court, Goldie’s, and Properties director roles. He also chaired the Capital Expenditures Committee for the past two years.
Hunt’s connection to Happy Canyon runs deep. He first appeared in the show at age four as a swim kid after his father joined the Board in 1983. Hunt and his wife, Whitney — a former Pendleton Round-Up Queen — have two children, William and Charlotte, who now proudly perform in the Happy Canyon show.
In addition to selecting Hunt as President, the Board elected Jenny Corey to serve as Court Director and Karl Farber as Security Director.
Corey will oversee the schedules and appearances of the Happy Canyon Princesses, traveling throughout the Northwest to promote the organization. A Pendleton native, Corey lives in the community with her husband, Michael, a past Happy Canyon Director. Their family represents decades of volunteer service to both Happy Canyon and the Pendleton Round-Up, with children Easton and Ellie continuing the tradition as fifth-generation volunteers.
Corey has spent 23 years in education with the Pendleton School District and currently serves as the Pendleton Virtual Learning Academy Coordinator. She has volunteered with Happy Canyon for more than 20 years.
Farber brings extensive leadership and security experience to the Board, including a two-year term as President of the Pendleton Round-Up from 2022–2023. A former Round-Up Security Director, Farber is a 27-year veteran of the Oregon State Police and currently serves as a lieutenant in the Pendleton office. He and his wife, Buffy, live in Pendleton and have two sons, Blake and Ryan. Farber is also active in the community through his work with the Boy Scouts and his leadership in developing the local youth hockey program.
