🚨 URGENT: Family in need of a microwave & refrigerator! 🚨

Hi everyone, I am helping a local family who is in urgent need of two major appliances:

Microwave: They need this by this Thursday (tomorrow) to pass an upcoming home inspection.

Refrigerator: They need a working fridge as soon as possible.

❤️ COMMUNITY HELP & DONATIONS NEEDED ❤️

We are reaching out to support a gentleman in our community who is currently sleeping on the floor and is in need of a fresh start. We are urgently trying to source a gently used twin or full-size bed (mattress and/or frame) to get him off the floor, but we are also collecting a variety of other donations to help him set up his space.

Items needed:

🛏️ Bedding (ANY size): Sheets, blankets, comforters, and pillows (new or gently used).

🧺 Other Household Donations: We are accepting other essential home items and donations to help him get fully back on his feet.

Also, If you have a bed, extra bedding, or other household items taking up space that you are willing to donate, please call or text Purlie at +19107400205 to coordinate.

G***K stands for Giving Gifts of Love on Christmas Day to Kids, but our mission has grown far beyond Christmas. What began in 1998 as a small family effort to help a family in need has grown into a ministry dedicated to showing love and compassion to individuals and families throughout the year.

❤️ Clothing and household necessities
❤️ School supplies and toys
❤️ Health & wellness supplies
❤️ Christmas gifts for children
❤️ Sponsorships and donations
❤️ Volunteers who give their time and talents

In 2025, G***K blessed 423 individuals during the Christmas season and served communities across six North Carolina counties.

And now, G***K has its own building and has officially become a year-round ministry. 🙏❤️

You are invited to the Lumbee Tribe of N.C. State of the Tribe Address on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 6:00 pm. Lumbee Tribal Chairman John L. Lowery will share information about the tribal budget, Federal Recognition, recent accomplishments and his goals and vision for the coming year for the Lumbee People.

The address will be held at the Lumbee Tribe Boys & Girls Club, which is located behind the Lumbee Tribe Housing Complex at 6984 Highway 711, Pembroke. A reception will follow the tribal address. The event will be livestreamed through the Lumbee Tribe Website and Youtube at https://www.youtube.com//streams

We are officially 10 (ten) days away from the Lumbee Tribe of NC Federal Recognition Celebration on May 16, 2026, at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

We are excited to share the official food vendor lineup! Do not forget to bring your appetites! From sweet treats and desserts to BBQ, wraps, collards, chicken, seafood, and more, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

This is more than just a celebration; it’s a chance to uplift and connect with the community, and to experience the culture that makes our tribe so special.

Come out, bring your family, and support these amazing vendors while we celebrate this historic moment together!
