ARTIST IN THE BARN 🙌 upcycles trays found at thrift stores into wonderful utilitarian art by adding glass mosaics of interesting designs and colors ❤️♻️ These are great to update a central table or counter - or give as a MEMORABLE GIFT //90% of our artisan wares are by Maine artists and small businesses. If they’re not made by Maine artists, they’re made with recycled materials or made by artists who are teachers in their community 🎉 Liz checks all the boxes including the fact she’s local and one of 40 artists we work with who is based here in ✨🌲🌊🌊

We ❤️ the barn and want to thank for helping us with a new coat of paint last Summer 🥰 They even included us in their nonprofit’s annual report 🙏 It’s true these ripples of support make all the difference in our Midcoast Maine community.

Come to the barn so we can tell you all about them and show you some cherry wood woodworking volunteers do as a fundraiser! You could also visit their website to learn more about their free and inclusive residency program, which offers apprenticeships to learn wooden boatbuilding, sailing, navigation, and more 😘☀️🌈

It’s a rainy day in Midcoast Maine, but the sun is behind us and ahead 💛 Taking a moment to honor the courage of those who have made life as we know it possible 🇺🇸 Remembering that freedom is not free, we are grateful for and proud of all military personnel who risk their lives so we can enjoy ours 🙏 We can never thank them fully, but we can try in our hearts. Happy Memorial Day 💐

PS. Though we are wary of the military industrial complex -HAVE to say it ❤️- we are in AWE of the individuals who stand up for what they believe in - a better, more democratic world that is full of love, beauty, and purpose beyond ourselves 😘
