The cast of CAROUSEL met this past Sunday evening for the first read through of this amazing show!! We can't wait to bring this musical to life!! 🎠✨

Rodgers and Hammerstein's CAROUSEL runs October 30th - November 1st at 7pm AND November 2nd at 2pm!! Tickets will be available for purchase starting October 1st at central.universitytickets.com!🎟️🎭

✧Join us in the Kruidenier Theatre for CAROUSEL Auditions TONIGHT & TOMORROW starting at 6:30pm!!

✧For tonight: Remember to bring 32 bars of a Rodgers and Hammerstein song that's NOT from CAROUSEL! Please also bring a copy of your sheet music for the provided accompanist!🎹

✧ALSO for tonight: Dance auditions will be done with our choreographer, Cynthia, in the Mr. B Studio Theatre after you sing!💃🕺

✧For tomorrow: Cold readings from the script will be provided AND you will be singing some CAROUSEL songs that you will be provided with this evening!📖

✧Auditions will be held September 2nd and 3rd at 6:30pm in the Kruidenier Theatre!!

✧For Tuesday, September 2nd, please bring 32 bars of a Rodgers and Hammerstein song (but NOT from CAROUSEL). Please bring a copy of your sheet music for the accompanist that will be provided!

Announcing auditions for CAROUSEL! September 2 & 3, 2025. 6:30pm in the Kruidenier Theatre. Tuesday, September 2 please bring 32 bars of a Rodgers and Hammerstein song (but not from CAROUSEL). An accompanist will be provided so please bring sheet music. Wednesday, September 3 will be cold readings from the script and singing some specific songs from the show! Auditions are open to the public; however, priority casting is given to Central College students. Hope to see you there!

The 2025 VPA GALA will be this Sunday, May 4th . This annual event for the visual and performing arts celebrates all the hard work students and faculty have done this year, and also will announce the productions Theatre Central is putting on for the 2025-2026 season!

If you are involved in any way with VPA events at Central you are welcome to come and celebrate with us! We just ask that you RSVP before attending. See you there 🎭

It’s almost that time! It’s a little over a week until Central’s 2025-2026 Theatre Season will be announced at the VPA Gala. Until then we have decided to give a few clues 🔎 about what next year’s shows will be!

This year we are doing “Three Truths and One Lie” themed clues. Three of these images are correct and have something to do with our shows next year. One is a distraction. Comment down below some of your guesses and the truth will be revealed at the VPA Gala on May 4th!
