Help us keep the Vermeer Windmill turning!⚙️
Our volunteer millers are the people behind the scenes (and sometimes way up above the scenes!) who help bring the Vermeer Windmill to life for thousands of visitors each year. We're looking for a few new people to join the team.
No milling experience? No problem. Our millers receive hands-on training at the windmill. We're looking for adults who are curious about how things work, are comfortable being on their feet and navigating the windmill, and are ready to learn something pretty unique.
Once trained, millers typically volunteer just a few days per month, as their schedules allow. Shifts run mid-March through December, Monday through Saturday, and are generally from 9:30am–3:30pm, with a break for lunch.
You must be 18 or older, but there's no upper age limit and certainly no requirement that a “miller” be a man!
