Sometimes we get used to only seeing the end product and can so easily miss the beauty of the actual process. In contrast, this painting focuses on the making itself.

The finishing touch!

◼️Positioning the Plaque◼️ Thank you Pella Engraving & Sign Company for creating this beautiful plaque for us and patiently waiting for us to get it just right! It tells the story of the “Happy Days” mural which is inspired by Dutch folk art painting from the small farming village of Staphorst, in the province of Overijssel, The Netherlands.

Whenever I don’t know what to paint, I find myself drawn to deep blue. In this painting I wanted to focus on the water’s depth with the light shining from above. As fun as the background was, the whales were my favorite part to paint.
