It’s official.

The Pelham Fringe Festival has found its festival home at The Picture House

This October, our inaugural Festival will bring original short plays, local artists, and bold new work to one of Westchester’s most beloved independent cinemas.

The Festival is also a fundraiser: every ticket will help sustain Pelham Fringe’s free year-round creative programming while supporting The Picture House and the vital role independent cinemas play in bringing people together through art.

We’re incredibly grateful to Clay Bushong and the entire Picture House team for believing in what we’re building.

The script stays the same.

Everything else changes.

For our first Scene Machine, every team will work from the same scene from Jill Friedman’s new short play, The Platform.

Same words. Different directors. Different actors. Different instincts. Different choices.

After a short rehearsal we’ll put every version on its feet and discover how dramatically character, relationships, tension, humor and meaning can shift—all without changing a single line.

This is the work actors love. The work directors love. The work writers love.

No pressure. No “right” answer. Just a room full of artists exploring what’s possible.
