I’m grateful to Walmart for the opportunity to be part of such an incredible grand reopening. The energy was undeniable and it was clear the community had an amazing time. What stood out most to me was the leadership behind it all, Carmen Garcia. This is leadership that is genuinely invested in the community. In my experience, that level of engagement is rare in the corporate world and it deserves to be recognized.

A special thank you to Reverend Steve Dunkley, Jason Gisser, our local elected officials from Peekskill, Cortlandt, and Yorktown, Assemblywoman Dana Levenberg, NYS Senator Peter Harckham, and Congressman Mike Lawler for showing up and supporting such a meaningful event. Special appreciation to the Peekskill High School Dance Team, the Peekskill High School City Singers, and the Street Beatz dance group for bringing incredible talent and energy to the day.

I also want to acknowledge Store Manager Carmen Garcia, Raquette, Market Manager Aaron Klein, and the entire Walmart team for their hard work and dedication in making this event a success. To all of the vendors, especially Coca-Cola for setting up the stage, thank you for helping bring everything together.

It was a beautiful day in Mohegan Lake, made even better by perfect weather and even better people. Wishing everyone a successful and productive week ahead.
