Pearson Recreation Department Pearson Recreation Department is a family oriented recreation department which services the citizens of Atkinson County.

It’s a place in the community to provide positive, meaningful, and quality programs/sports that encourage our young children.

Does anyone know where we can find some lockers like this? We want to do this for our babies at the Rec Dept!

We are pleased to announce the addition of a new feature to our park, a 'play it forward' locker, designed to facilitate the exchange of items no longer needed by one individual that may be of value to another. This initiative aims to support those in need and provide assistance during challenging times. We kindly request that users take only what they require and consider donating items to benefit others.

As we work to bring improvements, ensure fairness, and follow proper procedures within our Recreation Department, we understand that some recent changes may have caused confusion or frustration. Please know that this was never our intention, and we sincerely apologize.

Our department has always been committed to serving in the best interest of every child. As we continue moving forward with these improvements, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding. Our goal is to do what’s best for our city, our department, and most importantly, our children.

If you have not yet been contacted, you will be soon. If you have not heard that your child is on a team, please rest assured—they are.

🏀🔥 ATCO 14U DISTRICT PLAYOFFS 🔥🏀

They fought hard. They left it all on the court. And while we didn’t bring home the final win, these boys earned SECOND PLACE DISTRICT CHAMPIONS and we could not be more proud! 🥈👏

This season has been full of grit, growth, teamwork, and heart. From the first practice to the final buzzer, these players and coaches showed what dedication and toughness really look like.

To our 14U boys — you represented yourselves, your families, and the Pearson Rec Department with pride. Your hard work did not go unnoticed.

Hold your heads high. District Runner-Up is something to celebrate!

🏀🔥 CHAMPIONSHIP BOUND!!! 🔥🏀

Our ATCO Rec Dept 14U boys pulled off ANOTHER nail-biter in the 2nd round of playoffs, winning 52-51!

With the game on the line, Max Spivey stepped up to the free throw line after being fouled and calmly knocked down BOTH free throws to take the lead! 💪🔥 The team then locked in and played tough, relentless defense to close it out!

These boys are showing so much heart, grit, and composure under pressure — we could not be more proud!

Our girls fought hard today in Alma, falling 62–19 in the championship game. While it wasn’t the outcome we hoped for, we are incredibly proud of their effort, heart, and determination all season long.

Finishing as District Tournament Runner-Up is something to celebrate! 🥈

🏀🔥 DISTRICT PLAYOFF WIN! 🔥🏀

Congratulations to our ATCO Rec Dept 14U basketball team on an INCREDIBLE win tonight in Pierce County!

The guys battled it out and pulled off a 54–52 victory at the buzzer in the first round of District Playoffs! What a game! 💪🔥

We are beyond proud of our players and our coaches for their hard work, heart, and determination.

🗓 They’re back in action tomorrow at 1:00 PM in Pierce County for Round 2 — let’s pack the gym and show them our support!

🏀 Our ATCO Rec girls will also be hitting the court tomorrow at 11:00 AM in Alma for the first round of their District Playoffs!

If you can, come out and cheer on our teams! Your support means everything.
