A successful flooring project begins with understanding the condition of the concrete—not simply installing the system shown in the original specification.
At the Hinds Community College WIN Job Center in Jackson, Mississippi, approximately 8,000 square feet of training-lab flooring was initially specified to receive a thin-mil epoxy and urethane system. However, ArmaCrete’s in-situ moisture probe testing identified elevated moisture conditions associated with the absence of an under-slab moisture v***r barrier. Based on those findings, the flooring assembly was upgraded to provide the protection and durability the facility required.
Our work included mechanically preparing the existing concrete, completing necessary surface repairs, and installing a 1/4-inch Poly-Crete MDB urethane cement broadcast system with epoxy intermediate coats and a high-performance urethane finish.
The completed system provides a seamless, durable, and easy-to-maintain surface designed for the demanding conditions of an active educational and workforce-training environment. Working closely with BIG Construction, our crew completed the full installation in just seven days.
Proper testing. The right system. A floor built for long-term performance.
