The KWLP Family is very sadden after hearing the passing of Georgetta aka Jetta Russell. Jetta has been a long time Volunteer and employee/contractor of KWLP Radio when she was trying to find out what she wanted to do as a career in her life. The radio station has always had open arms for Jetta, as we all watched her grow. She started her venture into radio as a KIDSTAR youth, we then transition to a FM station EPCH, evolving into KWLP- THE PEACH. Jetta was there and always showed interest in the radio. During her shows, she would always start with "HELLO MY PEACHES" We at the station was waiting for her return these next couple of weeks as she reached out and wanting to be apart of KWLP Family again and see the new transition of now Walapai 100.9. Jetta was very smart, funny and always had a smile. She was a quick learner and cached on very quickly whatever was taught to her. We will very much miss Jetta, her smile, her laugh and how she connected to the Community. 🥺
