๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐, ๐๐ ,April 27, 2023โ The Become Legendary Team, led by Katherine Merck, is set to enter seven Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA ProRodeo) bull riders into the second Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Team Series Draft.
Seven-time World Champion Bull Rider, Sage Kimzey, 5x NFR Qualifier, Roscoe Jarboe, 3x NFR Qualifier, Tyler Bingham, 2x NFR Qualifiers, Creek Young, Trey Kimzey, and 1X NFR Qualifier Brady Portenier will all enter the draft with the potential to ride for one of the eight PBR Team Series, with 1X NFR Qualifier Trevor Reiste entering as a free agent.
An unprecedented number of PRCA bull riders have made the decision after the success of the PBR Team Series first season. "The PBR Team Series, in my opinion, is the future of bull riding, and I want to do what is best for the sport. I look forward to applying my talent to the team events," said 7-time World Champion Sage Kimzey.
Leading the charge is attorney Katherine Merck, who has an extensive background in contracts and negotiations. As a former Miss Rodeo America, Katherine has a passion for the sport and the background that will help the teams and athletes find the best fit. "The PBR Team Series presents an exciting opportunity not just for my athletes but for the future of the sport and the next generation of bull riders. The cowboys that I represent have proven their talent in the PRCA through National Finals Rodeo qualifications and gold buckles, and Iโm excited to be part of this next step for them and their careers as they join the second season of the PBR Team Series. Iโm honored that theyโve put their faith in me to represent them and excited for the opportunity to combine my legal background and love of rodeo in a way that benefits my athletes as well as the sport of bull riding and the western industry as a whole," says Merck.
The PBR Draft will be held on May 17; we look forward to watching these athletes get their official uniforms. The PBR Team Series season will begin July 24 in Cheyenne, WY.
