Picket Fence Pottery Picket Fence Pottery began as a dream. Sisters, Randy and Sherry have been throwing pots and selling unique pieces since 2003. Come by and see us!

http://www.picketfencepottery.com/home Sisters, Randy and Sherry, started taking classes at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts in 2001 and realized how much they loved throwing pots. The business blossomed from there. With help from family members, they tore down an old garage board by board. It was replaced by an Amish-built barn studio. The old wood from the garage was used to finish the interior

walls. A used kiln was purchased at a school sale, and two new pottery wheels were ordered...they were in business!! The business grew steadily as they continued to learn from talented instructors at the KIA and through individual work in their unique barn studio.

2010 brought retirement and the purchase of a new programmable kiln. More free time has allowed the sisters to focus on honing their craft and experimenting with new techniques. Their passion continues to grow as they expand into an online business through Etsy.
