A message from Miss Anna

Hi guys! I hope your summer is starting off awesome. So, some of you have told me that during the school year you consider our choreography rehearsals your dance classes; I try to be both a choreographer and a teacher, so hearing that makes me happy. But as they are first and foremost rehearsals, my focus is on creating a dance, not so much on building your individual skills and technique. However, I teach at Luc’s Light just next door to your school, and with it being summer, I’m hoping some of you guys will have the time to take one or both of my classes:)! These being classes are about strengthening your skill and technique, you’ll become a stronger dancer, learn ways to properly stretch and take care of your body, and have fun in a relaxed environment where everyone’s safe to move how they want!
Tuesdays starting tomorrow and for the next 5 weeks are my new tap dance classes! 5:30 to 6:15 for the next 6 Tuesdays. Once you register, you will have tap shoes provided.
Thursdays are a technique class combining skills of both jazz and ballet! 6 to 6:45 for the next 6 Thursdays. Wearing good socks or dance shoes you already have is all good.

You do have to register soon if you want to sign up as space will fill up, especially in the tap class. I miss teaching you guys, and would love to spend some time teaching you this summer! Also, importantly, you do not have to be able to attend all 6 classes-even if you can only make 5 or 4, that’s totally fine, you should still register for classes and just let our front desk know when you can’t make a class that you can’t.
This is a terrific way to keep your skills up during the off season, especially since we don’t have theater camp this year! I would love to have classes of my theater kids hehe. Thanks so much, I hope to see some of you starting tomorrow!
