The Paw Paw Village Players are excited to announce upcoming auditions for our annual presentation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol!
If you saw the production last year, you'll remember it was presented with a slightly different twist than you may have been used to seeing. This year, once again, our production will have a different spin, but maintaining Mr. Dickens' original story.
Auditions will be October 6 and 7, at 6:30 PM at the Lucky Wolf mainstage, 404 East Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. The director, Tonya Tucker, strongly suggests browsing to the show website at www.ppvp.org to get all the information.
Show dates are December 5, 6, 12 & 13 at 7:00 PM, also at the Lucky Wolf.

Hello theater fans!

We are excited to announce our second annual dinner program we call Play With Your Food. This year, we are throwing in a little more excitement! We will transport you back into the roaring 20s, and at some time during your meal, there will be a commotion that you won't be able to ignore. Then you will be able to spend some time figuring out who the culprit (or culprits) and thereby solve the mystery (murder).
The fun takes place in the lower dining room of the amazing LaCantina Italian Restaurant on Michigan Ave in Paw Paw on September 18. Doors open at 5 PM. Period dress would add to the fun but is not a requirement for anyone.
The menu is still in development but promises to be a culinary delight that LaCantina is so well known for. Check the website at ppvp.org for updates. Tickets are available on our website and are $35, which includes dinner with the fixings and a beverage. A cash bar will be available.
You don't want to miss this evening of fun and food with the Village Players and LaCantina! If you want to have a more active role in the action, let us know by email at [email protected] right after you buy your tickets and we will get you that information. Otherwise, just come and enjoy the show and participate how you would like!

Meet the cast of A Christmas Carol!

Rick Moll - The Ghost of Jacob Marley

Rick has been doing theatre since 2012, you may have seen him onstage at The Kalamazoo Civic or Allegan Playhouse. The role he enjoyed most was East in "Almost Maine. Semi-retired from a sales career, he decided to try theatre when he found himself an empty nester.

Fayth Krenk - Martha Cratchit, Fred's sister-in-law, party guest

Fayth has been doing theatre for about 6 years, you may remember her from Play With Your Food last August. Her first show with the Players was also A Christmas Carol, and she enjoyed playing Jane in Anne of Green Gables which was unfortunately sidelined in 2020.

Meet the cast of A Christmas Carol -

Jerry McCord appears as Bob Cratchit and Belle's husband in this production of A Christmas Carol for the Paw Paw Village Players. In the past, you may have seen Jerry in A Christmas Carol as Jacob Marley and The Ghost of Christmas Future. Jerry had found a love of theatre later in life after his wife and daughters had immersed him in it. You may have also seen Jerry in PPVP's production of Charlotte's Web, or in Sister Act, Something Rotten, and Beauty and the Beast at Center Stage Theatre.

Nicole McCord appears as a Gossip and Old Josephine in Paw Paw Village Players' production of A Christmas Carol. Nicole has previously appeared in PPVP's Christmas Carol production multiple times including playing roles as Mrs. Fezziwig and Charwoman. Nicole had previously done theatre in high school, and has now rekindled her love of being onstage later in life. You could also see Nicole in Charlotte's Web at PPVP and in Beauty and the Beast at Center Stage Theatre previously.

Meet the Cast of A Christmas Carol!

Kelly Touchtone - Mrs Cratchit, Party Guest

Kelly is returning to the theatre after 30 years after being inspired by her son and daughter. Although this is her first production with the Paw Paw Village Players, her previous theatre experience includes her favorite role to date, Auntie Em in Wizard of Oz.

Leah Touchtone - Belinda Cratchit, Miss Dilber, Party Guest

This is Leah’s first production with Paw Paw Village Players. She just finished up the Music Man and participates with Opening Act. Her favorite role to date is Ruby the waitress in her class Christmas show last year. Leah takes voice and piano lessons.
