Happiness is when you can finish a quilting project and it turned out so great, I can't wait to use it.  even the hubby is jealous, he wants his own, and I will gladly make him one of his own, he just needs to pick his colors.

This beautiful lap quilt transitions from my favorite lime green down to some teals and purples. There's nothing I love more than black and white fabric that has words or crazy texture or nostalgic remnants on it.

Looking forward to the cooler weather so I can use it and also share it with my sweet little gal.

Let’s Mat up a original mixed media collage painting in less than 60 seconds 👍⭐️😍
I thought I’d show you how I mat up my original mixed media acrylic painting in less than 60 seconds! Let’s go!
Because my artwork is so bright, I like to keep my mats either in black or white. it really just makes my artwork pop.
I’m using my Scotch ATG 700 archival tape to anchor the top and the bottom mat so that they don’t end up shifting and then I use the same tape and adhere the artwork right onto the mat for wonderful presentation. ATG 700 Gold tape is archival and acid free
The artwork that I am matting is one of my recent faves. I really love this original painting and mixed media, the energy and colors of this original painting are just so vivid. I also sign the mat and place the signed artwork into a clear acid free sleeve and place my pop art Sonya Paz sticker along with my branded postcard contact information.

I am getting ready for my art exhibit coming up on May 16 and 17th and working on a couple of last-minute paintings. I love working on these wood panels but I always wanna make sure that I have prepped them correctly. Using by and then adding to the surface. I typically paint on canvas, but occasionally I like to use these wood panels because it's a different experience. Love this process! I'm obsessed with upcycling old treasures, especially when I snag them at garage sales! My mini dress forms and eclectic decor are my jam. I'm giving this little form a makeover with black paint, ephemera, and mixed media.... the contrast is everything!

Should I have kept the natural wood tone?

Amongst all of the chaos with packing orders and preparing for my VinoPaint upcoming events and trying to clean up and get organized. Life as an artist is always pivoting and changing some days are just crazy and chaotic.

I am really happy after launching my Masterclass course "Crushing it with Commissions" I have been inspired to create some new and exciting artwork so stay tuned for all those details coming soon. In the meantime enjoy the music and have fun perusing my crazy messy space.
