Dave Gilmore for Accountability

Dave Gilmore for Accountability This page was developed for the 2014 MAYORAL Election when I was an opposition candidate The real work is ahead of us.

We have a new Mayor and cabinet coming in. there are no magic formulas to fix the problems just hard work. The road to incremental success lies in accountability. The problems must be owned, action plans must be prioritized for development, assigned and implemented to resolve our defined issues with established review checkpoints to see how successful the fixes implemented have worked... It's all about accountability!

Running for Mayor or any office is not that hard, I did it in 2014… Getting people to believe in you is the hard part when you can’t truthfully paint a rosy picture of false naritives like “Moving the City forward” It’s easier to believe the lies than face the tough realities!

SCANDAL AT HINCHLIFFE STADIUM

It has been reported by Joe Malinconcio of Paterson Press / NorthJersey.com that Economic Development Director Michael Powell has admitted that he defrauded the State of New Jersey and City of Paterson (New Jersey) by falsely applying for $8 million dollars in gap funding for Hinchliffe Stadium’s restoration.

Powell and his corrupt boss, Mayor Sayegh claimed in February 2021 that the grant was to cover cost overruns for the reconstruction of the stadium, which Powell is now admitting was a blatant lie. According to Malinconico, and as admitted by Powell, the $8 million dollars was given to a Montclair non-profit that “provides quality-of-life services” to people who live in affordable housing complexes.

Giving an $8 million dollar grant to a nonprofit that’s purpose has nothing to do with construction, stadium building, youth sports, recreation, or historic preservation is fraud. What’s worse is the non-profit, Life Management, Inc., hasn’t filed a tax return since 2019. Their office space is never occupied, and they don’t have a phone number than anyone answers. As usual, Powell lies and dances around questions, and the State of New Jersey refuses to answer any at all. Once again it appears that Paterson officials have lied to put money in the pockets of their political supporters in a corrupt pay-to-play scheme.

This is not the first grant to disappear into Hinchliffe Stadium. The Friends of Hinchliffe Stadium, another nonprofit that could have received the $8 million if it was just intended as a pass through, has refused to account for a $200,000 AmEx grant they obtained more than ten years ago through the National Trust for Historic Preservation. David R. Cubby, Esq., a trustee for Friends of Hinchliffe Stadium who has called out FOH President Brian LoPinto for illegally colluding to circumvent federal law in conspiracy with Andre Sayegh, demanded bank statements concerning the whereabouts of the grant money and LoPinto refused to provide them.

Hinchliffe Stadium has turned into one of the biggest thefts of public money the United States has ever seen under the corrupt administration of Andre Sayegh. Unfortunately, by all appearances this criminal enterprise is protected by Camelia Valdez in the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office, and now in all likelyhood Attorney General Matt Platkin, who is feverishly attempting to cover up evidence of Najee Seabrooks’ assassination, potentially over Seabrooks' knowledge of what St. Joseph's Hospital Paterson did with almost $5 million dollars in federal grant money that can now be considered missing.
