On Monday, September 14, Boston Court is turning our production of PERICLES into LA Theatre Night! Come enjoy this modern-verse translation of Shakespeare's epic adventure with your fellow LA Theatre community members.
However, there's a catch. The cost rises as the story moves from port to port. Buy now, you're in Antioch pricing. Wait a few weeks, you're paying Ephesus rates.
Here's the route:
Antioch — $25 (Aug 17–21)
Tarsus — $35 (Aug 22–27)
Pentapolis — $45 (Aug 28–Sep 3)
Mytilene — $55 (Sep 4–10)
Ephesus — $65 (Sep 11–14, or until we sell out)
Each port has a limited number of seats. Once the $25 tickets sell out, they're gone, even if we haven't hit the next date.
Here's the honest reason we're doing it this way: LA has more working theatre artists than almost anywhere, and they're often the ones priced out of seeing shows like this one. Starting the pricing low isn't just a hook — it's a real window for the actors, designers, stage managers, and crew members building this city's work to get in before the price climbs. (Plus, we all know that theatre people make awesome audiences so it'll be a rocking good time!)
