The Mega Finale is ramping up with Mega Ascension. This event brings daily Mega Raids with a special background and a new GO Pass.

All trainers will get a GO Pass on Monday, August 31 at 10 am local time that will reward Mega Energy for one of your choice of the Kalos starters.

I’m in San Francisco for the Pokémon World Championships 2026 and there’s a free Pokémon GO Stamp Rally for anyone in the area (no ticket required)!

While it's mid-tier it's still worth grabbing some Mega Energy.

Mega Gyarados can be solo'd by high level trainers with top counters, but bring 2-3 trainers to secure an easy win.

None of these Pokémon are particularly useful in raids. While Registeel can be used in the GO Battle League, you'll need to trade to get high performing IVs.

- Dynamax Hitmontop debuts in Max Battles (Rare XL in-person only)

Tue 8/25
- PokémonXP begins, 10 AM
- 15 GBL sets per day
- Cosmog Spacesuit Pikachu and Impidimp in T1 raids
- GO Battle League sets go from 5 to 15 per day
- Featured Attacks when you catch or evolve (full list on dittobase.com)
- Free GO Pass begins (2× Catch Stardust at Rank 10)

Mega Swampert, a power Water, Ground-type, is in raids this week in Pokémon GO!

Mega Swampert is the second best Water-type raid attacker and decent as a Ground attacker too. That being said, with access to Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, I probably won't be using Swampert for damage.

I will, however, be using it for the Mega Evolution bonus, and you should too!

Not only does Lunala have an awesome shiny, but it's useful in raids and the GBL as well.

With a double weakness to both Dark and Ghost-type attacks, Lunala should not be too hard to defeat with one or more trainers.
