Mega Beedrill and Mega Houndoom are getting buffed!

Both of these Mega Pokémon are gaining access to Mega Level 4 and their third charged move, significantly boosting their damage output.

Mega Beedrill: September 8-15
Mega Houndoom: September 11-15

Fell Stinger+ and Dark Pulse+ increase in damage the higher your Mega Level boosting these Pokémon to the top of their attacker-by-type rankings.

Armored Mewtwo is back for the first time since 2020. Should you raid it?

Announced during the closing ceremony at Pokémon Worlds 2026 in San Francisco, CA, Armored Mewtwo will be in 5-star raids during the Mega Finale on September 5th and 6th.

There is one catch: it still cannot be shiny.

It's power is suppressed by armor, so Armored Mewtwo has a lower maximum CP than normal Mewtwo. In a raid setting, attack stat is more important than bulk, so Armored Mewtwo is not useful in raids when you have access to normal, Mega, or even Shadow Mewtwo.

This is still a rare Pokémon that probably won't come back for years to come, so I'll be raiding it for my collection and remote trade folder.

Pokémon World Championships 2026 in San Francisco, California

Thank you Pokémon for an unforgettable weekend!

The Pokémon community is so special. Younger me never would have guessed that playing Pokémon Red on the original GameBoy would have sparked a life long journey of travel, new experiences, and friendships.

See you next time!
