134 West

134 West Music & stories to engage your mind, lift your heart and inspire your soul. Theatre, film, podcasts. We love working with big partners and big money.

At 134 West, our mission is to tell great stories, create new work, promote diverse voices and develop the voices of talented people in the early stages of their careers. Our productions seek to empower our community through inspiring drama, uplifting conversations, social justice engagement, educational outreach and interpreted shows. And we also recognize that creating something out of next to n

othing is often where true artistry can begin. We live in a complex and challenging world and we strive to tell stories that remind us of the deep humanity, independent spirit and subtle joy found in underrepresented stories.

134 West has developed and produced shows at the Pasadena Playhouse, Boston Court, San Gabriel Mission Playhouse, Celebration Theatre, Joe’s Pub at The Public, Hollywood Fringe, the New York Fringe Festival and the New York Musical Theatre Festival.

134 West also develops independent film, TV and audio. We have produced and consulted for some of the biggest studios and marketing agencies in Hollywood, including Disney, Dreamworks Animation, Google, Film District and Avatarlabs. Select Projects:
BEND IN THE ROAD: The Anne of Green Gables Musical
TY THE PIE GUY
The Flirt Bar
My Dinner With Andrea

Now that we’ve recovered from our holiday hangover, we wanted to look back at the spectacular fun we had at our 2025 holiday cabaret!
Merry Queerness (A Wildly Inappropriate Holiday Show) was a huge success! We know WE had a wet and wild time... If you were there for the naughtiness, tell us your favorite moment of the show so we can all bask in the glory(hole) of our collective jolly gay expression together!

We’ll go first: singing the 12 days of Queermas together. You, our audience, warmed our little rainbow hearts to no end.

Thanks to our phenomenal performers, crew, and creatives who made the magic happen!

Hey Arts Community! 2025 was our biggest year yet and we want to celebrate! Back in May we put on a reading of a new musical, The Ride, at the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

The Ride is a brand new musical that follows a group of riders on the AIDS/LifeCycle Ride that's traveled from San Francisco to Los Angeles every single year since 1994. This year, with the tradition shifting from one big ride to smaller groups and shorter routes, the musical is capturing the history and spirit of The Ride at a time and place vital to the history of LGBTQ rights and AID activism.

The power and joy of the AIDS/LifeCycle ride lives on in showtunes, laughter, and, someday, some fantastic choreography! With songs like The Luxury of Denial, Red Dress Day, and Love Comes in All Kinds, The Ride Musical captured the feeling that many riders called - the love bubble.

We can't wait to bring the love bubble back to audiences in the coming years for the next round of workshops and shows.
