At 134 West, our mission is to tell great stories, create new work, promote diverse voices and develop the voices of talented people in the early stages of their careers. Our productions seek to empower our community through inspiring drama, uplifting conversations, social justice engagement, educational outreach and interpreted shows. And we also recognize that creating something out of next to nothing is often where true artistry can begin. We live in a complex and challenging world and we strive to tell stories that remind us of the deep humanity, independent spirit and subtle joy found in underrepresented stories.
134 West has developed and produced shows at the Pasadena Playhouse, Boston Court, San Gabriel Mission Playhouse, Celebration Theatre, Joe’s Pub at The Public, Hollywood Fringe, the New York Fringe Festival and the New York Musical Theatre Festival.
134 West also develops independent film, TV and audio. We have produced and consulted for some of the biggest studios and marketing agencies in Hollywood, including Disney, Dreamworks Animation, Google, Film District and Avatarlabs. Select Projects:
