Would you try an Argentine omakase? 🔥🇦🇷

I visited Alto in Los Angeles for the Pampas experience, starting with a humita empanada and a build-your-own choripán course.

The menu continued with porcini, sunchoke, and sweetbreads, short rib cooked for six to seven hours, and vacío with kabocha squash fondue. Dessert was grilled quince with cheese cream and house-made vanilla ice cream.

Who would you bring to this dinner?

Trader Joe’s was basically created because its founder was worried about 7-Eleven. 🤯
So Joe Coulombe changed the entire concept — and opened the first Trader Joe’s in Pasadena in 1967.
Nearly 60 years later, the original store is still there.
What’s the ONE Trader Joe’s product you always buy?

Did you know nachos are named after a REAL person named Nacho? 🧀🌶️
In 1943, Ignacio “Nacho” Anaya was working at the Victory Club in Piedras Negras, Mexico, when a group of American military wives arrived looking for something to eat.
With the chef unavailable, Nacho improvised with what he had:
Fried tortillas.
Cheese.
Sliced jalapeños.
He called his creation “Nachos Especiales” — Nacho’s Specials.
Decades later, stadium nachos arrived with that glorious neon-orange cheese sauce and helped turn Nacho’s creation into an American sports-food obsession.
So let’s settle something important:
What belongs on the PERFECT plate of nachos?

Malka Beverly Hills is doing things a little differently—and I’m here for it. 🍅🔥
Inspired by chef Eyal Shani, the menu takes Israeli and Mediterranean flavors and gives them a playful spin. We started with golden focaccia, Tomato 101, green beans and some ridiculously creamy hummus before moving on to Branzino Hraime, Malka’s famous schnitzel stuffed with mashed potato marrow, and lamb kebab served right on top of focaccia.
Dessert? Olive oil pistachio cake AND passion fruit and orange sorbet served in its own shell.
If you’re looking for a new restaurant in Beverly Hills or exploring the Los Angeles food scene, put Malka on your radar.

Think Hawaiian pizza is from Hawaii? Think again! It was invented in Canada by a Greek immigrant experimenting with flavors. The name? It came from a can label!

My first time in Valle de Guadalupe and THIS is how you make an introduction. 🇲🇽🍷
Chef’s tasting at Fauna was one of those dinners that reminded me why I travel for food. Beautiful Baja ingredients, creative dishes, incredible w**e, and course after course that kept me wondering what was coming next.
Safe to say my first trip to Valle set the bar VERY high.
And yes… I’m already thinking about going back.

Did you know those crossed palm trees outside In-N-Out are actually marking buried treasure?
Well… sort of. 🌴🍔
In 1948, Harry and Esther Snyder opened a tiny burger stand in Baldwin Park, California. Harry developed a two-way speaker system that allowed customers to order without leaving their cars, helping pioneer California’s drive-thru hamburger culture.
But those famous crossed palms have their own story.
Harry loved It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, where buried treasure is hidden beneath crossed palm trees. He considered every In-N-Out restaurant his treasure, so crossed palms eventually became part of the brand.
More than 75 years later, In-N-Out is still family-owned and still doesn’t franchise.
But forget the history for a second…
What’s your EXACT In-N-Out order? Burger, fries, modifications—the whole thing. I want names.
