We had to get the 12 ft clown to fit in a 9ft tall room. We will add socks, but mission accomplished.

Starting to modify my Party City 13 ft Cackles Clown so he he can crouch down to fit in my 9 ft tall clown room. So far I have just cut the original mounts off the base. No wonder so many people were complaining of them collapsing at the ankle. This is the thinnest, softest "steel" I've ever seen. I couldn't get a good angle to grind off a weld so I just decided to bend it back and forth and pull it, but ended up pulling a chunk of metal off the base.
