Scream Works Florida is unleashing Site 13, an industrial horror attraction built inside the forgotten expansion of the old Parrish Works Project. Shadows move through the sparks, alarms trip after midnight, and The Foreman’s lantern is the last thing most people remember seeing. Construction crews abandoned Site 13 decades ago. Now Parrish’s development boom has broken open what they sealed underground, and we’re opening the gates for everyone to see what never should’ve been found.

The first ScreamWorks Florida stickers are here, and they look disgusting in the best possible way.

Clean print. Sharp cut. Skull approved.
This might be a sticker today, but it is also one more little piece of proof that this thing is growing.

Local people. Local businesses. Local weirdos building something for Manatee County.

Big shoutout to Ryan's Coffee House here in Parrish for supporting Scream Works Florida.

Every community needs a good place to gather. A place to wake up, slow down, talk too much, and pretend one more coffee is a responsible life choice.

Ryan’s Coffee House is one of those places.

They are supporting a first year haunted attraction being built the right way. Local people. Local businesses. Local chaos with a purpose.

That matters.

When places like Ryan’s Coffee House back something new in the community, they are not just helping an event. They are helping build something Parrish and Manatee county can be part of.

Today is Memorial Day.

Before we talk haunted walls, puzzles, props, and all the weird little things being built in garages across Manatee County, we want to stop and give respect where it belongs.

Today is for the men and women who gave everything.

ScreamWorks Florida is being built as a community attraction. That means we do not skip over days like this. We remember. We respect. We stay grateful.

This week, the Escape Tent walls are coming together. Piece by piece. Panel by panel. Bad decision by bad decision that somehow starts looking awesome when the paint dries.

This is not a polished corporate haunt dropped into town.

This is local hands building something from scratch.

The first pieces of Site 13 are starting to look alive.
Or infected.

Hard to tell yet.

More updates are coming soon. Thank you to everyone following, sharing, volunteering, donating, sponsoring, and believing in this thing before it is even fully standing.

We are building this properly.

We are building this locally.

And we are building it for this Manatee County.

Today is Memorial Day.

Before we talk haunted walls, puzzles, props, and all the weird little things being built in garages across Manatee County, we want to stop and give respect where it belongs.

Primer day.

This little nightmare started as a 3D print. Now it is getting automotive primer and slowly turning into something that looks like it should have a case file.

This is the part people do not always see.
The sanding.
The cleanup.
The weird driveway workbench.
The “please do not rain on my bad decisions” stage.

ScreamWorks Florida is being built one piece at a time. No giant budget. No shortcut nonsense. Just work, learning, mistakes, fixing those mistakes, and making something this community can be proud of.

Memorial Day weekend starts tomorrow.

Before the cookouts, the traffic, the noise, and the long weekend blur kicks in, we want to pause for what this weekend is really about.

It is about the ones who did not make it home.

ScreamWorks Florida is built by local hands, for this community. That means we honor the people who gave everything so communities like ours could keep standing.

To the fallen, we remember you.

To the families who carry that empty chair, we see you.

ScreamWorks Florida needs two 4x8 sheets of plywood for the escape tent build.

Before we go buy them new, I wanted to check local first. If anyone has a couple sheets sitting around that they are not using, we can put them to work.

Does not have to be pretty. It just has to be usable.

Scream Works Florida is looking for 1 or 2 people who know escape rooms and want to help us build and run our Escape Tent.

We are not looking for someone to just stand there and say, “Did you try the lock?”

We need puzzle people.

People who understand timing, clue flow, resets, guest experience, and how to make a small space feel like the walls are judging you.

This is part of our first year grassroots haunt build here in Manatee County. We are building it properly, locally, and with people who actually care about creating something the community can be proud of.

We are looking for help with:

Escape room puzzle ideas
Building and testing the room
Running groups during events
Resetting the room between teams
Keeping the experience fun, fair, and slightly unwell

Experience with escape rooms is preferred.

Building skills are a bonus.

Reliability matters more than ego.

We finally have our face.

This is the new official ScreamWorks Florida logo, created by Rogues Hollow.

And yes. It hits exactly how it needed to hit.
This is not just a logo.
This is the first real mark of what we are building.

A grassroots haunted attraction.
Built properly.
Built locally.
Built for Manatee County.

We are starting small. We are starting smart. We are starting with mini escape rooms, local events, builders, artists, volunteers, and anyone weird enough to believe this community deserves something different.

ScreamWorks Florida is not trying to copy what everyone else is doing.

We are building our own machine.

Huge thank you to Rogues Hollow for helping bring this thing to life. This logo finally feels like the warning label we needed.
