SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Size requirement: the artwork can be no larger than 16 x 20 inches (exclusive of the mat and frame) and no smaller than 8 x10 (exclusive of a mat and frame). At the time of submission, the work must be professionally presented, displaying the entry stamp, and framed ready to hang with mat, glass or a block canvas. The frame must be backed, and a wire held by eye screws or D rings (no saw tooth hangers). All submissions must be labeled on the back with the artist’s name, title of the work, media, size and sales price. All submissions are required to be offered for sale, and there is a 20% commission for each sale. The works must remain on exhibit from June 1 to June 30, 2026. Artists may submit two works, each bearing a stamp indicating production during the festival. If the work is signed on the front, the name must be covered by removable tape for the judging.
JURIED AWARDS
Submissions will be judged on June 1 in the Cedar City Library gallery.
Awards will be presented at the reception as follows: Best of Show, ribbon plus $200.; 2nd ribbon plus $100.; 3rd, ribbon plus $75.; Honorable mention, ribbon plus $50.
All winners will be notified. Artist’s paintings sold during the exhibit will be marked “sold” and the artist will be notified of the pending sale. Final sale will be executed between the artist and buyer at the close of the exhibit. Sales tax is the responsibility of the seller. The 20% commission will be remitted to the Southern Utah Watercolor Society.
ENTRY FORM
Artists are required to complete an informational entry form and pay a $55. registration fee. Payment must be in the form of cash, check or Venmo. Southern Utah Watercolor Society members pay $45. Paper or Canvas will be “stamped” at registration. The stamp must appear and be verified upon submission.

Thursday, May 28
Registration at the Cedar City Library, 10 am-noon. Pay registration fee and materials will be stamped. This is a PAINT DAY on location.
Friday, May 29
Registration at the Cedar City Library, 10 am-noon or 2 pm-4. Pay registration and materials will be stamped. This is a PAINT DAY on location.
Saturday, May 30
Registration is possible on this day (only by personal arrangement by calling Michael Clark, 661 860-2485); This is the final PAINT DAY on location.
Submit work between 3 and 4:30 pm Saturday, May 30. Late work will not be accepted. Bring completed artwork framed and ready to hang to the Cedar City Library. Please sign the registration form and have the work stamp verified. Please advise if the work is not dry and needs to be handled carefully. Work will be hung and judged Monday, June 1, 10 am-12 pm.
