Each session is designed to help you:

Hello everyone! 💙

As you may have noticed, I’ve been very quiet on social media. I’ve been taking a much-needed break. I’ve realized that social media can create a lot of noise in my life—and in my business—and I needed some quiet.

So, a little update about The Blue Bee Boutique…

I am in the process of closing down the retail portion of The Blue Bee. If you are interested in some incredible prices as I clear out inventory, join me over on Whatnot. I’ll also continue to offer local pickup.

With anything in life, I believe it’s important to listen for God’s voice. And when there are too many distractions, sometimes it’s hard to hear Him.

This pause has helped me realize something that has probably been in my heart all along:

My heart isn’t really in selling fabric.

It’s in creating an experience where people can learn, relax, refocus and connect.

So The Blue Bee will slowly transition.

First, I’ll sell through the remaining inventory.

Then, I’m giving myself a much-needed pause.

And after that? I’m going to follow a calling that has quietly been on my heart this whole time. 💙

I’m not rushing it. I’m praying, listening and allowing it to unfold in the right time.

So keep praying for me—and keep watching. 🐝 There may be a new chapter for The Blue Bee yet.

🐝 Meet Pollygon—the new face of The Blue Bee!

Pollygon is inspired by the real blue orchard bee: independent, gentle and wonderfully productive. She may work on her own, but she still chooses to make her home near others.

That sounds a little like The Blue Bee to me.

I grew up in rural western Iowa surrounded by women who made things with their hands. Later, life as a military family carried us through more than 20 moves. With every new place, creativity helped me make a home, find connection and begin again.

The Blue Bee grew from that same belief: we do not have to fit into one tidy box to belong.

That is also how Pollygon earned her name.

She has a few angles. She sees possibilities differently. She may not fit perfectly into the expected shape—but she knows that being a little different can become something beautiful.

Pollygon’s bright blue face, wings and joyful personality will always make her recognizable. Her patchwork tummy, however, will change with the fabrics we are featuring. Each kit and collection can give her a colorful new twist while she remains unmistakably Pollygon.

You’ll begin seeing her throughout our social media, kit reveals, packaging and Blue Bee merchandise. She will help us share new projects, creative ideas and all the interesting things buzzing around The Blue Bee.

Welcome to the team, Pollygon. I think you are going to fit in beautifully—angles and all.

Today is binding day! 🧵🐝

Yes, I’m a project stacker! I piece several quilt tops and place them neatly in a stack. Then I quilt the entire stack, restack them—and finally, bind them all!

It’s my own little method of organized happiness. Who else stacks projects like this?
