Astro Disaster Version 0.058 This is a screenshot of the game I'm making. I'm adding in a menu system. New level graphics are shown as well. The game is running in a higher graphics resolution now too. Also there is now support for background tiles. I have a large number of them that I can use, but so far only one is shown. The game is running really well, I did some bugfixing too. I can't even find a way to crash it right now.

I've been working on graphics for the first boss battle in my game Astro Disaster. The idea behind this is that the fins spin around the ball blocking shots, but will also lay the smack down on the player if they get in the way. I'll also make the eye track the player.

Astro Disaster V0.05. I'm putting puzzle elements into the game in this version, specifically locks and doors. So far I have a key lock, a pressure plate, a very nice lever mechanism, and swinging doors. I really poured in some detail on the lever. You can push and pull the lever by using the tow cable, by pushing it physically, or shooting it. The lever can also hang from ceilings and walls just fine too. And it is animated. The key lock is simple, use the key item near it and the doors linked to it will swap states, also it lights up green when unlocked. The pressure plate has two versions, one version where any object sets it off, or it can be told what specific item to look for. The doors check all locks that they are attached to and if there is more than one, it acts like a light with two light switches does. There are more doors to program, so I still got more to do on V0.05.

Astro Disaster v.048. I added a lot of weapon systems to the game. These can be added to the player ship by hauling the object from across the level and dropped in the mother ship. There are also a lot of upgrades like a faster reload time, increased player health and fuel, stronger thrusters, and weapon upgrades. I also improved the players status display quite a bit. It now displays the selected weapon and item. There are also homing shots, and homing missiles. Some weapons also deal splash damage to a wide area. One of the weapons, the wave beam, is really neat looking too.

Astro Disaster, Alpha 0.046 (possible title)
My game project is coming along. I implemented particle effects. It took some work but I also made an easy system to spawn particles in a circle around a point. This allows for a firework effect. I'll have to throw some explosions in there when I get those done. Other things in this version: a ton of back end work few will ever see! I re-wrote the way the enemy and projectile systems work to make them easier to develop.

Humble roots... This was the very first version of my new game. I think I will call it "Astral Disaster", probably. As version 0.01 my goal was according to my Development Road-Map "Working graphics and physics, a player ship, can load some terrain." To do this I had pretty much threw myself through a crash course on C++ at https://www.learncpp.com/ for a month. Then I put a project together with the Allegro game engine, and Box2d physics engine. But really those are just helpers, I had to do a lot of programming myself. I had the project named "Stellar Rocket Guy" at the time. I pretty much used a thesaurus on the name "Solar Jet Man". Original project, do not steal lol.

Hey Peeps! I've been gone a long time. But lately I've been busy. I've been learning computer programming, C++ programming to be exact, and I've been making a game. It is very similar to a game I used to speed run called Solar Jetman. I've been thinking about calling it "Astro Disaster" or maybe "Astral Disaster". I'm not sure yet. What do you think?

Dark Souls 2: The Champion's Challenge Run. End of the third day. I got all the way to the end of the Iron Keep. I decided to go there because I wanted a new set of armor. I was origionally aiming for the iron set, i don't remember the name but it looks like a turtle shell when you wear it. Unfortunately it was way too heavy and I was unable to farm for it effectively either. But just by trying to get to the end I did manage to farm for the alone captains set of armor. Honestly it is a better choice, and in my opinion one of the best armors in the game. I also hit "You Died" 98... IF you were wondering what the champions challenge run was, if you use the victor stone in majula it throws your game into a difficulty setting close to new game +. As if you had beaten the game with that character once with a couple differences, first, you can't summon anyone or anything to help you, and there are no extra enemies that you get in a NG+. Otherwise its pretty much the same. So, that explains all the death.
