Our mission at Parker Arts is to enhance the cultural and economic vitality of the greater Parker region by providing access to arts, culture, history, and science programs and educational opportunities for its citizens and visitors, and offering community, business and civic gathering spaces. Parker Arts includes three venues - the Parker Arts, Culture and Events (PACE) Center, The Schoolhouse (a

Last week, we were saddened to learn of the passing of the incomparable Tim Curry, whose extraordinary career left an indelible mark on stage, screen, and generations of fans.

Few performances have become as iconic—or inspired the kind of lasting community—as his unforgettable Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. More than 50 years later, audiences are still gathering to celebrate the film, sing along, dress up, and, of course, do the Time Warp again.

As we prepare to welcome Rocky Horror Denver back to the PACE Center for our annual Rocky Horror screening and shadow cast performance, we’ll be remembering the remarkable performer at the heart of a tradition that continues to bring people together.

Thank you for the music, the mischief, and one truly unforgettable character. ❤️

Get ready to kick up your heels at the Route 66 Fundraiser on Saturday, October 3!

The Country Music Project, named the 2025 Colorado Country Music Hall of Fame Band of the Year, is bringing seven musicians, four-part male and female vocals, fiddle, and pedal steel guitar to keep the dance floor moving.

Before the band kicks off, Resolute Ballroom instructors will teach 2-step, country swing, cowboy cha-cha, and line dancing, then keep the fun going while the band plays.

Best of all, every dollar raised supports free Parker Arts community experiences, including art receptions, Portfolio Day, Lunar New Year, Science Night, Honey Festival, Discovery Park Summer Concerts, and more.

Congratulations to Parker Arts instructor Lorenzo Chavez! 🎨

We're thrilled to see Lorenzo Chavez featured by Voyage Denver, where he shares his inspiring journey as an artist, his lifelong passion for painting the landscapes of the Southwest, and the experiences that have shaped his remarkable career.

Lorenzo's love of New Mexico and Colorado's landscapes shines through every painting, and we're fortunate to have him share his knowledge and passion with Parker Arts students.

Stop by during Schoolhouse hours to see our current art exhibit with the Parker Artists Guild, In Motion! This exhibition showcases creative interpretations of motion, from dynamic action to abstract expressions of movement.

🗳️ While you're visiting, be sure to cast your vote for your favorite piece in the People's Choice Award. Voting is open throughout the exhibition, and the winning artwork will be announced during the Meet the Artists Reception on Thursday, September 10, from 6:30–8:00 p.m.

The reception is free and open to the public and offers a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists, enjoy light refreshments, and learn more about the inspiration behind their work.

Actors and artists of all skill levels can join us for classes at Parker Arts! Check out a few of our upcoming theater and art classes:

✏️ Intro to Drawing and Pastel: Building Light and Form for ages 18+, beginning September 8
This beginner-friendly class introduces students to the fundamentals of drawing and pastel through simple still life studies.

🎭 Youth Acting Classes for ages 6–18, beginning September 14
Learn acting fundamentals, develop existing skills, and grow as performers in our youth acting classes: Beginning Acting (ages 6–10), The Actor's Toolkit (ages 11–14), and Advanced Acting (ages 15–18).

🐰 Acting Adventures: Alice in Wonderland for ages 9–13, beginning September 17
Tumble down the rabbit hole with Alice and explore the curious world of Wonderland! This class introduces basic acting, staging, and stagecraft.
