Last night, Jim Hespe, on behalf of the Green and Shade Tree Committee, presented Mayor Misciagna and the whole Park Ridge Council with a plaque recognizing Park Ridge as a Tree City USA community! This is a tremendous accomplishment and one that requires years of dedication, planning, environmental stewardship, and a strong commitment to preserving and growing our community’s tree canopy.

This recognition is a true testament to the hard work and commitment of the Green Team and Shade Tree, along with the support of their Green Team Council Liaison Councilman Hoffman throughout the process. Their collective efforts help make Park Ridge a greener, healthier, and more beautiful community for generations to come.

Yesterday, Mayor Misciagna received some special help running the Mayor and Council meeting from Ava Velis, who served as Mayor for the Day, and Dylan Velis, who served as Deputy Mayor for the Day. Together, they helped Mayor Misciagna authorize over $1 million for the 2026 Road Program Project, of which $241,000 is funded through a NJDOT grant, and approve other municipal operations. Thank you, Ava and Dylan, for your help and leadership!
