Come one, come all! Tri-Boro Volunteer Ambulance Corps annual open house is Sunday November 8, 2026 from noon until 4 p.m. at our building located at 10 Mill Road in Park Ridge. While we are primarily looking for members from Park Ridge, Montvale and Woodcliff Lake, if you work in our communities and are available to ride during the day, we will consider you as well.
Do you have any interest in becoming an EMT? Are you a high school student considering a career in the field of medicine? There is no better way to learn basic life support while gaining much needed patient care hours to help you refine your future goals.
Are you a former NJ EMT whose license has expired? You don't need to retake a the initial class, you can just get up to date on CPR, take an refresher course (can be done in one weekend) and take and pass the NREMT exam, and you are good to go!
Are you a New Jersey licensed physician, physician assistant, registered nurse or advanced practice nurse? Same for you, no need to take the EMT class, just take the refresher course and NREMT exam!
Are you a stay at home parent with kids in school from 9-3 looking for a way to pass the time while learning valuable life skills and helping your community? A retiree who is ready for the encore portion of their lives? A community member who works from home and can sneak out for a quick call to help a neighbor?

Mayor & Council Special Public Meeting Notice – October 22, 2026

Pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, P.L. 1975 this will serve as notice that the Mayor & Council of the Borough of Park Ridge, 53 Park Avenue, Park Ridge, New Jersey will conduct a Special Public Meeting session at 6:00 pm on Thursday, October 22, 2026 to hold a town hall and discuss matters pertaining to the Referendum Ballot Question Regarding Municipal Open Space Trust Fund on the ballot for the 2026 General Election in the Council Chambers located at 53 Park Ave., Park Ridge, NJ. Formal action may be taken at said special public meeting.

Save the date for our FREE Rabies Vaccination Clinic. Monday, November 9, 2026, at the Utility Garage, located at 15 Sulak Lane. Dogs 6:30pm to 7:30pm and Cats from 7:30pm to 8:00pm. Dogs must be on leash. Please no flexi retractable leashes. Prior rabies proof must be shown in order to receive a 3-year vaccine. Opened to NJ residents only.

Councilmen Metzdorf and Mintz attended the 2nd Annual Picnic hosted by Cpl. Jedh C. Barker American Legion Post 153, along with the Sons of the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary.Thank you to our local veterans and Legion members for hosting a wonderful community event and bringing everyone together! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

Councilman Robert Metzdorf attended the Park Ridge Fire Prevention Bureau’s annual Peter J. Harkin Babysitters Program this week and helped distribute babysitting certification cards to the approximately 65 young participants who completed the program.

The two-day program provided children ages 10 and up with important information on babysitting and child safety, fire prevention, first aid, and emergency preparedness.

Thank you to Captain Brad Moser, Fire Marshal John Hansen, Captain Pete Mauro, Dr. Sarah Lupu of Chestnut Ridge Pediatrics, Yale and Ryan Glazer of the Tri-Boro Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and everyone who helped make this year’s program a success.

A special thank you to the Park Ridge Fire Prevention Bureau for continuing this important program, which has been offered annually since 1974. We appreciate all of the time and effort that goes into preparing our young babysitters to be safe, responsible, and prepared!

Last night, Mayor Keith Misciagna, Councilman Michael Mintz, and Councilman Metzdorf attended the Bergen County Open Space Trust Fund public hearing in Hackensack to present Park Ridge’s application for the Frederick Wortendyke House.
The Borough requested $330,000, and the Bergen County Historic Preservation Committee has recommended $175,000 toward preserving and rehabilitating this important 18th-century historic property.

The funding will help develop a Preservation Plan and begin stabilization and exterior rehabilitation. Our long-term goal is to bring the Wortendyke House back into public use as a historic and cultural resource, with educational programs, exhibits, and community events.

Thank you to Bergen County for recognizing the importance of preserving this special piece of Park Ridge history.
