As promised prior to construction kick off, we plan to continue to provide updates and communication as we move forward with construction at Woodward Park City. Please see below for details on construction as well as updates to access.

The main building excavation is nearing completion, and we are moving toward concrete and structure installation. These next phases of the project will require closure of the Gorgoza Park trailhead parking. Parking will remain closed through spring. Throughout the parking closure, we will continue to offer access to public Gorgoza Park trails and through our partnership with Basin Recreation are continuing to update and improve the on-mountain trails through realignments.

Moving forward, access to the Millennium Trail and snowmaking pond will be available from the east. Access to the Millennium Trail from the west will only be available through the existing on-mountain detour, as conditions permit. Please note, as the trailhead parking lot closes, trail users will not be able to access the Millennium trail from the west at the parking entrance.

We will soon begin grading for the top of the chairlift. This work is being done concurrently with the trail realignments. The grading is required to allow for the top of the chairlift to be installed at the agreed upon elevation. Additional work taking place on the property in the coming months will include the installation of subgrade mountain operations electrical and snowmaking infrastructure.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue work on Woodward Park City. We are excited for what Woodward Park City will bring to the Park City community in the near future.

As construction begins on Woodward Park City, POWDR is committed to providing our best efforts at access to the private snowmaking pond and public trail system. Managed access to these areas are expected due to safety concerns during the construction period. Initial parking restrictions and re-routing to access are planned through early fall 2018. Beginning late fall 2018, additional restrictions will be in effect throughout the remainder of the construction period.

Rerouting will occur, trail users should follow designed signage for alternate access.
Beginning late fall 2018, Gorgoza Park trailhead parking lot access will be restricted due to construction. Alternative trail access will be available via the Millennium Trail from the East.
Additional short-term closures will occur as needed for construction and safety purposes.
Public parking and access will resume following the construction period.
Seasonal restrictions to the snowmaking pond may be enforced.

We are incredibly excited to bring the Woodward experience to Park City.

UPDATE!

Gorgoza Park will soon begin its transformation to Woodward Park City. Woodward Park City brings a world-class sports facility that connects sport, progression, community, vibe and youth inspired programming to the Park City area.

In order to complete this transformation, tubing will not operate for the 2018-19 season. We look forward to having tubing as part of our programming upon the opening of Woodward Park City in November of 2019.
