As promised prior to construction kick off, we plan to continue to provide updates and communication as we move forward with construction at Woodward Park City. Please see below for details on construction as well as updates to access.
The main building excavation is nearing completion, and we are moving toward concrete and structure installation. These next phases of the project will require closure of the Gorgoza Park trailhead parking. Parking will remain closed through spring. Throughout the parking closure, we will continue to offer access to public Gorgoza Park trails and through our partnership with Basin Recreation are continuing to update and improve the on-mountain trails through realignments.
Moving forward, access to the Millennium Trail and snowmaking pond will be available from the east. Access to the Millennium Trail from the west will only be available through the existing on-mountain detour, as conditions permit. Please note, as the trailhead parking lot closes, trail users will not be able to access the Millennium trail from the west at the parking entrance.
We will soon begin grading for the top of the chairlift. This work is being done concurrently with the trail realignments. The grading is required to allow for the top of the chairlift to be installed at the agreed upon elevation. Additional work taking place on the property in the coming months will include the installation of subgrade mountain operations electrical and snowmaking infrastructure.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue work on Woodward Park City. We are excited for what Woodward Park City will bring to the Park City community in the near future.
