Announcement from our friends at Lights for Darlene.
We will miss your show, Brad!
We have some important news to share about Lights For Darlene.
After a lot of thought, we’ve decided that we will not be putting on the show for the 2026 Christmas season.
We know that’s going to be disappointing for a lot of people, and that’s honestly what made this decision so difficult.
Every year, thousands of people come through to see the lights, listen to the music, bring their children and grandchildren, and make memories together. Knowing that something we created has become part of Christmas for so many families means more to us than you probably realize.
But a show of this size takes an enormous amount of time and work. Months of planning, building, programming, repairing, testing, setting up—and then keeping more than 100,000 lights running throughout the season.
After doing it year after year, we simply need some time to recharge and, for once, enjoy Christmas from the other side of the windshield.
This was not an easy decision, and it is definitely not goodbye.
Lights For Darlene was created for a reason very close to my heart, and that reason hasn't changed. The name will still be here. The lights will still be here. And when the time is right, we'll light them up again.
We’re going to use this time to work on some new ideas, make some changes, and catch up on much-needed repairs and maintenance that are difficult to tackle while we're constantly preparing for the next season.
And we already have some exciting plans in the works for next year. We don’t want to give too much away just yet, but there are some things coming that we think you're really going to enjoy.
To everyone who has visited, shared our videos, told your friends, brought your families, waved as you drove by, or simply stopped for a few minutes to enjoy the show—thank you.
You've made Lights For Darlene bigger and more special than we ever imagined it could become.
So this Christmas, the yard may be a little darker…
But Lights For Darlene isn't going away.
We're just taking a Christmas off.
And next Christmas…
we'll have some new surprises waiting for you.
From our family to yours, thank you for understanding, thank you for all the incredible support over the years, and we wish every one of you a very Merry Christmas.
We'll see you in 2027.
