When I started Junior Staggs and Friends LIVE! My goal was to bring in folks who could make forget the outside world for 90-120 minutes. Show #2 will embody that with Chris Hennessee, one of the BEST LIVE performers I’ve seen in over 100 shows attended. This fella is COUNTRY MUSIC. After meeting music producer Blake Chancey (Dixie Chicks, Montgomery Gentry, David Ball and many others) he signed a publishing and management deal withTim McGraw’s management company RPM. He went on to have his songs recorded by Cody Johnson, Billy Currington, Cody Jinks, Sam Williams, Rodney Carrington, Kevin Fowler, Corey Morrow, Trent Willmon, and Roger Creager. Hennessee also had collaborations with The Wild Feathers (Song titled “Hennessee” and “On A Rail”) featured on the hit TV show “Nashville”. Chris Has released 5 full-length albums in the last decade. “Revival” was released in 2012 and produced by acclaimed producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Jamey Johnson and many more). His 4th studio album “Ramble” featured guest appearances by Jamey Johnson (Wrong End Of The Rainbow) Alison Krauss (Ramble) and The Wild Feathers (Midnight Run). The title track “Ramble” was also recorded by Outlaw rocker Cody Jinks on his album “The Wanting”. Chris’s latest album “Twilight in the South” was released in the summer of 2021. Meet Savanna Smallwood

Here’s a clip of one of our guests for Saturday Night’s Show. Savanna is a very well seasoned singer, songwriter and vocal performer. She started singing when she was 8 years old and quickly took North Alabama by storm. She won various contests and was named Alabama “Up and Coming” Female Artist of the Year.

She’s opened for the likes of George Jones and Loretta Lynn. She has one of the most unique voices I’ve ever heard. Make plans to come out Saturday Night 6-8 (there’s a chance the Saturday show goes till 9) at the Commercial Building at the Henry County Fair.

About Ben Daniel

Raised in Collinwood, Tn , a small town south of Nashville, Ben started playing guitar at a young age. Working on a family farm he learned hard work and determination. "It's not an easy life ,but it definitely prepared me for the music business," Ben says. In bars, festivals, church, and every songwriter club he could play he honed in his craft as a singer/songwriter with dreams of hearing his songs on the radio. Now having written songs recorded by Jake Owen, Craig Morgan, Joe Nichols, Josh Turner, Brett Eldredge, Tyler Farr, Parmalee, Jordon Davis and many more... those dreams are being realized.

(Side note, I’ve followed Ben since I was in High School. He and I grew up in the same small Tennessee town but our paths never directly crossed until a zoom co write in the middle of quarantine.)

ABOUT Ryan Larkins

Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Ryan Larkins caught the music city bug as a pre-teen, starting his songwriting journey at 12-years-old. He began to forge his distinctive baritone sound singing and playing guitar weekly at his home church. Those early performances eventually got him noticed by the Nashville music industry community and soon led to a publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing. Ryan’s sonic roots in traditional country music coupled with his love for gospel, pop and even R&B has crafted an original, incomparable sound sought after by some of the most talented names in the industry. He’s since written with musical legends like Tony Lane, Tom Douglas, Lee Miller, Craig Wiseman, Tim Nichols, Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip and Country Music Hall of Fame member Bill Anderson. Bill earned his first Grammy nomination for “Someday It’ll All Make Sense,” a duet with Dolly Parton, that Larkins co-wrote. A gifted songwriter, Ryan has also landed cuts by award-winning artists like Tim McGraw and Cody Johnson and is currently wrapping-up production of his own Nashville Country release on Jay DeMarcus’ Red Street Records, the label he signed with in early 2023.
