Patrick Clark’s boxing debut ended in a second-round disqualification—but Duel Arena’s response afterward crossed a far more serious line.
Clark deserved consequences for repeatedly violating the rules against Ryan Pownall. That does not excuse a promotion using a racist, dehumanizing term against a Black athlete.
Two things can be wrong at the same time.
Duel Arena owes accountability not only to Clark, but to every Black athlete and fan it expects to support its events.
