First, we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everyone who has shown our family so much love, kindness, and support over the last couple of months. It truly means more to us than you know!❤️
We are a pretty private family, and we don’t usually share much about our personal lives, but those of you that know us well know that the last couple of months have been a lot for our family. We also know how many people love and care about Molly, so we wanted to share a little about what she’s been going through and why her recovery is a little longer.
Back in August, while Molly was visiting her husband, she ended up in the emergency room with what she thought was appendicitis. During the visit, they unexpectedly discovered a lesion on her kidney. Once she returned home, we followed up with her doctor and specialists, which ultimately led to the decision to remove her kidney.
After surgery, pathology confirmed that Molly had Stage 1 kidney cancer. Those are words you never expect to hear, especially at such a young age, and it’s been a lot for our family to process.
But we are beyond grateful to be able to share the best possible news. They caught it early, the cancer was contained to her kidney, and with the removal of that kidney, Molly is now cancer-free! No further treatment is needed, and she can go on to live a normal, healthy life.
Molly is doing very well, and is more than ready to get back to doing what she loves. We wanted to share this because we know so many of you have been asking about her, checking in, and wondering why she’s needed some extra time away from the shop.
To everyone who has reached out, sent kind words, kept her in your thoughts and prayers, been patient with scheduling, or simply shown our family a little extra love through all of this, thank you. We have felt every bit of it, and we will never be able to express just how much it means to us.
We are feeling incredibly grateful and relieved to finally be on the other side of this. Molly can’t wait to see everyone and get back to the shop. Her books are open for November and she still has some availability left, so don’t wait! ❤️
