Averil's Watercolor Workshop Welcome to Averil's Watercolor Workshop! I will travel to your home, backyard, business, or school and teach the many amazing techniques of watercolor painting.

Watercolor workshops tailored to your needs: children's parties, social gatherings, happy hours, birthdays, social bonding with the staff in your business and private tutoring. ith Barone received her masters in Art Education from University of the Arts in 1994. She was an art agent for children's book illustration from 1995-2002. She ran the Saturday school for the University of the Arts and teaches at local community centers. She works for Art-Reach in Philadelphia as a workshop artist and is a professional watercolor artist and has shown and sold her work in many local galleries. She is also commissioned to paint houses and barn portraits.

It’s my birthday week. I was looking back on my life and realized I started painting with watercolor exactly 25 years ago! I remember getting 12 commissions the summer of 2001. Oil paint became very messy with my toddler and also toxic during my second pregnancy. I realized that I needed to change mediums while being a mom and slowly stopped painting with oil.

I created Averil’s Watercolor Workshop in 2009 and became an Encore Artist for Art-Reach in Philadelphia. Now I am an online educator and take the workshop to The National Constitution Center!

It’s been a very rewarding experience and I still have a long way to go! Cheers to 25 years!

I am very happy to announce Averil’s Watercolor Workshop return to the National Constitution Center, Sunday June 7th, 2026. This will be the last visit this year but I am invited back in 2027! What a wonderful way to celebrate the Semiquincentennial!
