Arlington Strings

Arlington Strings We rent and sell violins, violas, and cellos: beginner, prodigy, and fine instruments are available.

We have a large supply of music books, strings, and supplies for students, teachers, and individuals. Affordable Beginner Strings was started in 1995 by Wayne Caraway, who continued to run the business out of his home for several years. In 1998, Wayne opened up a store front at Suite B on Arkansas Ln. Wayne Caraway passed away in July 2011 but is still remembered by everyone who got to enjoy his s

mile and sense of humor. His widow, Aleta Caraway, a retired Arlington orchestra teacher, continues to own and oversee ABS with partners Jason and Lewis. In May 2014 we moved the store to a much more spacious Suite E. Jason is our in-store luthier, ably assisted by James, Hailey, Johnny, and David.

Our Story

Affordable Beginner Strings was originally started in 1995 by Wayne Caraway, who continued to run the business out of his home for several years. In 1998, Wayne opened up a store front at Suite B on Arkansas Ln. Wayne Caraway passed away in July 2011 but is still remembered by everyone who got to enjoy his smile and sense of humor. His widow, Aleta Caraway, a retired Arlington orchestra teacher, continues to own and oversee ABS with partners Jason and Lewis. In May 2014 we moved the store to a much more spacious Suite E. Jason is our in-store luthier, ably assisted by David, Maria, and Amber.

As of April 2018, we changed our name to Arlington Strings. This change reflects the wide scope of services we offer to string players of all ages and skill levels, not restricted to beginners.
