The Salvation Army needs help bringing the Christmas spirit to our local area, and you can help by supporting their Angel Tree program. This program relies heavily on volunteers in the local community to ensure children of qualifying low income households, less than $16,500 a year, receive a gift from Santa for Christmas. What can you do to help you may ask? Well the way it works is pretty simple:
1) You will be given a wish list for a qualified child.
2) You then shop around the Salvation Army warehouse.
3) Fill a Christmas bag with items that correspond to the child's wish list.
4) Place it in line for pick up and you're good to go.
You will not be asked to donate any personal funds to the program and your time will be greatly appreciated. Friends and family members are more that welcome to accompany you because the more help we get the better.
