If you spend any time downtown or at Little Village in St.Andrews you likely already know our next accessories artist, the lovely MK Pottery with her warm smile and "you can" attitude! ❤️
Mary Kay, a transplant from Atlanta, is a local ceramic artist and pottery instructor. You can find her in Historic Downtown Panama City leading classes in eclectic venues such as The Center for the Arts, El Weirdo, and Wild Root Coffee & Apothecary, just to name a few.
Through pottery classes, community events, and one-of-a-kind creations, she encourages others to slow down, create with their hands, and embrace imperfection as part of the process.
“I feel that working with clay can be both grounding and joyful—a way to find peace, build community, and bring a little more wonder into daily life.”
Mary Kay’s one-of-a-kind pieces blend earthy textures, organic forms, and a touch of whimsy, creating art that feels handcrafted and story-filled.
“Mother Nature inspires my work, speaking to my soul through unfiltered shapes, colors, and textures. I hope you also see and feel this in my art.”
You can find Mary Kay and her fashion focused works of art next Saturday at Eco-Couture event in front of Panama City Center for the Arts.
