Panacea Gumbo Cook-Off The Panacea Gumbo Cook-Off is a family-friendly festival held annually in February at Woolley Park. All proceeds benefit the Big Bend Maritime Center.

We bring the community together for live music, local vendors, and a competitive gumbo cook-off.

Welcome to the official page of the Panacea Gumbo Cook-Off!
We're so excited to launch this new page as your go-to hub for all things gumbo!

The Big Bend Maritime Center Boat Shop is the proud host of this event. As a 100% volunteer-run non-profit organization, the Center relies on this festival-our biggest fundraiser of the year-to keep our mission alive.

100% of the proceeds from the Gumbo Cook-Off go directly back to the Center, helping us keep our programs afloat. This funding supports our youth maritime heritage workshops, equipment maintenance, woodshop supplies, and the restoration of our historic boats.
