ISing Silicon Valley Girlchoir

ISing Silicon Valley Girlchoir iSing is Silicon Valley's Choir, just for girls, who love to sing. iSing is an arts organization committed to the music education of girls in grades 1–12.

We believe that singing teaches young people to strive for excellence, to work collaboratively with others, and to become passionate members of their communities. iSing is "just for girls" because we want to encourage girls to develop their potential as leaders, creators, and performers through music. Singing is empowering.

We’re so proud of HD singer Maira for winning first place at the 2026 National Student Auditions for the National Association of Teachers of Singing this summer! And we loved reading her words in her Palo Alto Weekly feature about how she built her confidence at iSing. How is she celebrating her big win? iSing’s Elementary Choir Workshop was a success! We’re so happy to hear this great feedback from a participant:

“Just wrapped up what was honestly the best professional development workshop I have ever attended.
Three days of singing, learning, laughing, and reimagining what elementary choir education can be. I left with pages of notes, countless new ideas, and a renewed sense of purpose for my own choir program.
What impressed me most wasn’t just the musicianship—it was the joy, intentionality, and sense of community woven into every part of the experience.
A huge thank you to Shane Troll and the entire iSing team for their generosity, expertise, and humor. I’m heading home inspired, energized, and excited to bring these ideas back to my students.
My notebook is full, my teacher heart is full, and my choir kids should probably prepare themselves because I have LOTS of new ideas!”

Sasa! This traditional Samoan dance is a staple of our 2nd/3rd grade curriculum. The singers have to work together to depict actions of daily life in a Samoan village. It requires focus, synchronization, and lots of energy!
