DON’T BE SCAMMED!!!! If you have someone other than Trish at The Purple Painted Lady writing to invite you to be in the festival or requesting money....it is a SCAM!!! If you are ever on Instagram or Facebook and someone is writing you about applying for any event, even not ours, always confirm it is a legit source! So many of you send money to people without doing your research. TPPL ONLY accepts payment through The Purple Painted Lady website. DON’t send a check or venmo or any other payment method! Please, don't be taken by scammers.
HOW CAN I BECOME AN ARTIST IN THE FESTIVAL?
We are very selective and our pre-existing artist community always has first right of refusal to return. But if you think you create something unique, fresh, and have a great presentation in your booth and are serious about your creative businness, and can follow instructions... then, contact us starting in January, 2025 by texting 585.750.6056. Your text should contain all of the requests below - otherwise we will sadly delete it.
Start your text with "APPLYING FOR THE 2025 TPPL FESTIVAL" Then make sure you include items 1 - 6 below.
1. Your whole name
2. Your business name
3. ONLY TWO photos of what you make
4. ONE photo of your booth from a 2024 event
5. Share your one sentence elevator speach on what it is you make or do.
6. Provide the actual link to your social media
And here is a secret. We look for artist and vendors who are active on their social media and have created a following for themselves. If you only post once or twice a year- we will kindly pass on your text.
Nothing more, nothin' less should be included in the text. The ONLY person accepting artist would be Trish herself. And all payments go through The Purple Painted Lady website.
