The last blast of summer! The Alaska Fair is held each Fall in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley.

Since 1936, Alaska State Fair features record-setting giant vegetables, beautiful flower gardens, concerts, plus Alaskan and Alaska Native culture. Located an hour north of Anchorage, the Fair provides the ideal setting for Alaska’s last blast of summer against a backdrop of the Chugach Mountains. The Fair also offers a rich cultural experience, featuring hundreds of Alaska Native performers and a

rtists, as well as 475 vendors offering uniquely Alaskan crafts, Alaska Grown products, and memorable Fair food. We invite you to experience the Fair and also take advantage of the year-round events and services the Alaska State Fair offers including horse shows, facility rentals, concerts, trade shows, and winter RV & boat storage.

🪶 Naa Luu Disk Gwaii Yatx’i shared traditional dances of Southeast Alaska’s Tribes. Some of their members have been performing at the Fair for 30 years.

This particular dance was a competitive challenge originally for the men, but one day a woman competed and triumphed over everyone. Now it is a universal, all-inclusive dance competition. At The Gathering Place.
