Fromage!
What a blast! What a journey! What a joy!
The laughter! The tears! The one liners! The SOLD OUT houses!
And just like that, we raise one final glass to THE SAVANNAH SIPPING SOCIETY. 🍷 What a joy it has been to share these four wonderfully imperfect women and their story of friendship, second chances, and finding the courage to begin again. To our incredible cast, crew, volunteers, Town of Palmer Lake, Rock House (Jeff and the whole family) and every single person who spent an evening with us in Savannah — thank you. You laughed with us, cheered these ladies on, and reminded us why we love making theatre right here in Palmer Lake. The porch may be empty now, but the friendships and laughter will stay with us for a long time. Cheers, ladies. We’re sure going to miss you. ❤️
Some favorite excerpts from April’s OnStage Colorado review…
🥂Funky’s ‘Savannah Sipping Society’ is a summertime treat
🥂For Julie (Marlafaye) It is a delicious part and Maniscalchi serves it up with flamboyance, topped off with plenty of crisp, well-timed barbs.
🥂Hannah Rockey’s Randa is not only the Happy Hour host but the show’s anchor. She leans into uptight Randa in a slow, deliberate, self-deprecating way to amplify the play’s message.
🥂For Kelly (Jinx) Bold and fearless, she manages to reveal just enough of the real Jinx to foster audience sympathy for a lost soul constantly chasing her tail.
🥂Kim Dobson plays the widowed and naive Dot who evolves to impish playfulness as the plot unfolds. She shines with impressive comic timing.
