This week our founder spent some time talking about effective communication and how it relates to sports with the Junior Giants in Sacramento. They’re led by a group of great instructors that teach awesome aspects of teamwork, diversity and values that the kids can lean on for years to come.

“Today is bittersweet. Juneteenth is great because it helps people to identify the sacrifices made to let people know that we were/are just simply, people. But also, my dad being a fan of both of these figures - it’s sad to know this is an end of an era that puts almost a closed curtain for Legendary African American baseball. Now, obviously there are still African-American baseball players, but will they create the same impact, the records, both in the mind of fans, but with empathy for others? The MLB is changing in a lot of positive ways, but I hope it’s still opens up more avenues for the future Josh Gibson’s, and Satchel Paige’s. Happy Juneteenth.”
