The most beautiful song, video and story from the incredibly talented Jimena Arrosa who joined all the way from Uruguay in 2019. It was such a magical week with the final performance at SIR Studios where brought the house down with this track. Massive congratulations Jimena and thanks for sharing this with us.
The story I never told:
Some years ago I had a dream 4 nights in a row, I was in LA working in my music. Crazy thing is, I wasn’t planning this at all. After the last dream I woke up and I had one email, about a program for singers and artists in LA … I had to apply and get accepted (worldwide). Of course I did.
A few days after I got one email to: book my “interview and audition”. (I confess that I was half asleep when I read this, so I did not see the “audition” part.) I was busy that week so I booked it for that same day. When I got the confirmation for a “few hours later” I saw the “audition” part 😅🤘🏻🤦🏻♀️ I jumped out of the bed to warm up (my vocal chords where soo asleep. 🧟♀️) I had one minute of freaking out… and then I remembered something: “I’m applying because I dreamed I was already there “ - “This is written” - I thought.
Hours later I was meeting .dawson , 🫶🏻Somehow immediately I felt a deep connection with her, is so inspiring to meet a woman so professional but caring, open to know you and to listen, willing to really help artist develop all over the globe. I sang a song that was mine but wasn’t even finished, but I let all the emotions of those days do their thing…and somehow that was it.
A few months later I was in LA , with a group of amazing people and artists and that trip changed the way I write songs. .official guided us with such a heart , encouraging to write our best songs.
Thanks to him we met and I remember him saying “Michael Jackson didn’t play any instruments, he sang them all” And finally after so many hears thinking that without playing an instrument and just “singing” lyrics, guitars and violins I couldn’t write mi songs, I thought that was THE song, The purpose of the dreams and the whole trip. I needed to work with him. Well, we did.
